Need help with getting new trunk tension bar
I recently installed a factory type spoiler on my 99tl and now the trunk lid is too heavy, does anyone know where I can get the heavy duty trunks bars...or any other options that can solve this. thanks

The bars are adjustable, you might check this first. Here's the link from the FAQ.

The tension bars on my car were already set on the higher tension when I got it. And its not enough to lift the trunk. I bought the tension bars for ~ $34 but have yet to install them. I should get around to it one of these days.

I have the same problem when I add the new spoler that I bought from Tim, and dealer told me the tension spring is not available, you get it when you order the factory kit.
Can you post the tension spring part number?
