Need help....Getting jerked around by dealers!!!

Whats up....I posted a couple weeks ago about ordering my car here is the thread but anyway the dealer screwed me twice telling me they were getting an ABP type s with navi the telling me the dealer they were trading with sold the car out from under me. Now I went to another dealer and they said at least another month to two months until they can get one in. So, here's my dilema they have a type-S in aegean blue pearl but no navigation should I just get it? Or will I regret not getting the navi, money is not a problem, it's just that I dont wanna wait a month and the dealer tell me I dont have a car like BRUNSWICK ACURA did to me. Please help and sorry for the long post.............Also ppl with ABP and navi let me know how hard it was to find your car and the price you got it for I would greatly appreciate it.......Thanks in advance.

I would definately wait for the Navigation. I love mine and it comes in handy numerous times. Also just ask anyone with non-navi and they will tell you how they regret it

Dealers make me want to :thefinger . Just today i went to get another key for my tl and the guy says it will cost 49.99 plus tax, but when i called the previous day they said it was 29.99. after talking to the manager and actually calling another acura dealer they changed the price back. My own dealer was trying to hustle me!

Hate to tell you this, but there are tons of them here in my area. I went to 3 dealers just to look at their inventory before I bought mine and all 3 dealers' lot are full of TLs. You should never put a deposit down and wait for a car cause that's when they will screw you big time. The dealers has a way to get the car you want from another dealer, they call it something like a trade off or whatever which cost them $35. The down side to that is your car will have a few more miles than usual because of the delivery. As far as prices goes, the best time to buy is towards the end of the month, the later the better, I bought mine on the last day of April. The thing about that is, each dealership expects to sell certain number of cars per month for their quota. Moving one more is a big plus to the dealership. I paid $400 above invoice and it came with mud guards, so I assume it's like $320 above invoice, but that's for a TL-P, TL-S is more popular, so expect to pay anywhere from $500 - $1000 above invoice. BTW, have you tried online car buying websites such as autobytel or autoweb? I think carsdirect and cartelligent is very helpful. I would take a quote from one dealer and drop that down a bit and ask another dealer if he can match it, works for me.:o

Definitely wait for the navi. My dealer had mine waiting for me 3 weeks before I was ready to pick it up. Turned out they had one coming in so they reserved it for me rather than selling it and having me wait for another.

I'd wait for the NAVI. I chose mine w/o navi because I can't stand the look of ONSTAR antenna on top. Plus, I'd rather spend the xtra $$ putting in an aftermarket unit. But that's in the future, I wish I had the NAVI right now!

I dont mind waiting for the car w/navi, but I dont want to be told i'm gettin the car and then a month later tell me the car has been sold. I'm gonna go to every Acura dealer in the area and see what I can do, if not i'm gonna get the car without navi. Dont feel like being jerked around again for a month. I hate dealerships.

I got mine at Acura of Westchester in Larchmont, NY (Westchester). It's a bit of a hike for you but they're a great dealership so it might be worth it. It you head up there talk to Toby and tell him Silvio sent you, he'll take care of you.

Go to Rallye Acura in L.I.

Hey sssick... sorry to hear about your bad experiences. You got your deposit back, right?
Again, thanx for linking the instructions on the body kits, as I just placed the order a few days ago. Can't wait to have this mod on the car!
I picked up my '03 type-s Anthracite Metallic with NAVI last Wed. (5/29). Get your car with NAVI. It may not be a perfect system, but it's well worth having it. When I picked up my car, I saw a few Aegean Blue there, but don't know if they had NAVI at Rallye Acura (1750 Northern Blvd. in Roslyn, L.I.). Talk to Anthony Muniz (phone # 516-625-7070) as he sold me the car (tell him I recommended you to him) . Call in advance, talk to him about your interest in the Aegean Blue with Navi and he'll be honest enough to tell you if on stock / when & where. I got treated with honesty, courtesy and professionalism. No games or b.s. from him. He told me he was getting the car at the end of May, showed me the book of the car being on transit to the dealer on the day I was just browsing thru dealers to find a good price (no idea I was gonna be so impressed with this dealership, so all I had to do was leave him a deposit to hold the car for me). Delivered as promised (paid around or close to invoice price), with a good amount of "freebies".

Get your deposit back and WAIT FOR THE NAVI. It is a beautiful and useful tool and device on your car. I do not regret one moment of getting the Navi. And besides with the Navi, you can do the DVD/PS2 conversion so you don't have to buy an aftermarket monitor to enjoy watching DVDs or playing video games! Have a wonderful day!
