Need help in customization of '03 TL-S

Just bought a 2003 TL Type-S, two weeks ago. Looking for some tips of what customizations and modifications I should make to it and in what order.

I would search the Photo Gallery to get some ideas. Then, do some searching on that part or mod to find out what route you wanna go!

A good start would be putting a sport suspension on there. The fender gap is ridiculous on our cars I got a before and after pic on one of the recent threads in the photo gallery forum.

Next, some window tint is always nice. I like 20% on the doors and 5% on rear window personally.

Wheels always make a dramatic appearance. The stocks are nice wheels, but going to a 18 or 19 inch wheel gives the car a much sportier look since our pizza cutter wheels are only 6.5" wide. I'm getting 19x8 wheels very soon.

A friend of mine has an "Inside-Out" approach. Upgrade the interior components first, then move outside. Meaning, upgrade the stereo, woofers and head unit...then move to the outside. I did it backwards But, I love the results!!

Good luck and welcome to the 2nd Gen TLs team!!

If you want to do your mods gradually, you can do it in the following order:
Tint
Bodykit
Drop
Rims
Performance mods (I/H/P etc...)

Here are some ideas. The order in which you do them is basically up to you, we all have different priorities (looks vs performance):

Tint
Bodykit
Drop
Rims
Performance mods (I/H/P/E etc...)

Below are some ideas for modding you TL. I prefer to modify in the order shown below, but of course it's totally up to you. Some people prefer to start with performance mods while others prefer to focus on aesthetics first. In any case, here are my suggestions:

Tint
Bodykit
Drop
Wheels
Performance mods (I/H/P/E etc...)

Hi, Welcome aboard! The way I prefer to do my modification is in this order:
1) Performance Mods
- Headers, Cat-Back system
- Intake
- Suspension: Spring and shock
- Possibly Pulley, strut bars, strut tower.
- Brakes
- (Hopefully) Supercharger

2) Wheels
3) above makes our TL look sick already.. More than this would be an overkill in my opinion

IMO, the most important and probably 1 of the more costly modification is your suspension. From then on, it's all depends on where you want to go with your car...

Tint is already in the works.

I would like to both drop it and put on a body kit (I like the OEM one). Which of these two should be done first? What manufacturer is the best cost/quality effective suspension? Does anyone know where to get an OEM body kit? (ebay has them new for $1400)

Best manufacturors for Headers and Intake?

Best Manufacturors for Headers and Intake and any other performance Mods, I'd have to say Comptech for their Quality.

another thing is debaging your car. That was the first thing I did on my 02 TLS, Gives it a nice clean look, I then ended up doing a full JDM Honda Inspire converstion.
