Need Help on changing Power Lock Actuator

I did a search and couldn't find a DIY, but has anyone ever changed the power lock actuator on the passanger front door.

I have already removed the door panel and the only screw I could see in the actuator but how do I remove the metal rod conected to the lock and how do I pull the actuator out?

The easiest way that saw to do this is was removing the three phillips screws on the door that hold the latch to the door and removing the metal rod attached to the lock and handl then wiggling the whole assembly out of the door... it took me about 25 minutes to do my two back doors

This worked well, I also recommend removing the lower screw for the window track. This alows you to move easier around the actutator. Also All you have to remove is the two small screws around located on the top of the unit. The larger screws don't need to be removed as they are connected to a brack that attaches only to the actuator.

Thanks for the help

Hey guys ...I got a problem with my driver side door lock ... the actuator does not have enough force to push the knog part to a open position so I have to use the key to manual open it ....I did open the door panel and everything but can't figure out how to remove the actuator !!!!!! 3 philips screws , all nuts and everything but it seem to me the actuator is connect to the inside and outside door hatch and the knog part that move up & down ....
It's driving me crazy to be able to see the actuator but can not figure out hor to take it out ......
Please help .Thanks
