Need help with Brakes

I know this issue has been discussed thoroughly in the forum but after doing a search, I was unable to find the answer to my specific questions..
I have an 01 TL w/26K driven by my wife..Recently she has complained about vibration in the steering wheel and break pedal when braking at moderate speeds..Sounds like warped rotors to me but I am certainly no expert.
I have an appointment in 3 days at Proctor Acura to get my tranny reacall done and they will take care of the brakes at that time also. The advisor told me that the brakes are warranted to only 12,000 miles. Meaning I will have to pay for the repair on a known defect in this car. He also said warranty repair on warped rotors is evaluated on an individual basis..Wonder how they decide who gets warranty repair??? Flip a coin??
Will you guys advise me on what to do in this matter..Should I start some shit with the dealer to fix the brakes under warranty or suck it up and pay...???
I am really geting sick of dealing with the customer service people at acura.

This topic has been beaten to death.
But anyway, state that since brakes are wearable items you don’t mind to pay for pads, if they must be replaced. However, also stay firm ground that rotors must not warp prematurely. If they did, this is manufacturer defect and must be covered under warranty. Do not agree to have rotors turned. That makes them thinner and prone to even more warpage later on. Have dealer to replace rotors!

Good luck.

jazzpicker, the signs you listed are related to warped rotors, we all here eventually replaced the rotors with aftermarket products like iRotors or Rotora, you will end up doing the same.. The transmisson and the rotors are the only crap that is messed up on TLs.
