two days ago have my tcs and check engine on, and brought in to an acura in atlanta(i'm visitin my gf at atlanta).so they gave me a call this morning tellin me i have to replace a knock sensor and some wires got eatten by a mouse?? it goin to cost me about 325 to fix it and won't cover under my warrent. my question does it sound right? or acura tryin to rape me?? and just pop up my mind is go back to pick my car up and try to reset the ECU and drive for a whlie see those light will come back on or not..if they come back on i will bring it back. are those a smart thing to do? or just let them rape my $325? don't u just hate a car broke down on you when u are on a trip? btw my car won't go over 5000rpm at first gear when i wot..but i can go over 5000rpm on second.

325 doesnt seem that bad if they have to repair some wires and replace a sensor, i guess. i might asck t see th ewires that were "eaten" by a mouse, but it isnt completly unheard of for that to happen (mouse eating wire)

i had the same problem on my 00'TL with the TCS and the warning engine light. I did reset the ECU, a week later the lights cameback again, and this time my engine would shake violantly when starting. As I found out those warning lights deal with emission control.

They 'raped' me for 1200 bux in Acura I had to replace fuel pressure controller and a PCM, but my car drives better now, and my milage improved nicely from 11mpg to 14-15mpg.

PS. you said a mouse chewed thru the wires?!? where do you keep your car?

ok..pick my car back..didn't let them fix it yet..want to do the ECU reset first..but my TCS won't be go off until i reach 70-75mph or go over 5-5.5K rpm. and my fuel cut off at around 5.8Krpm when i usin SS to past 5K.

I just got my car fix last week due to the mouse also, dealer wanted to charge me $215, luckily i didn't let them fix it bcuz they told me $215 just for labor and to replace the wire is only couple buck, but when i took everything apart the wire they planned to fix was all gone, so if i let them do the job it would cost me atleast 5 - 600 buck because in order to replace that wire you need to get the whole get which is the wire and the knock sensor and also they told me that you was going to re-use every single gasket, so what i spend $50 on the gasket and couple for the wire and now the car is drive able and save myself $$
