Need help

I have a quick question, sorry if its a n00b one but on my TL the rev limiter goes to around 6 1/2, 7 I think (Thats were the redline is on the gauge anyway) But for some reason my TL is redlining at 5? Dont know why this is.

Rev limit is 5k in park.

I was in neutral without the e-brake on just gas and brake?

to protect the engine- 5000 limit in park and N

with this and lots of other good operating tips and info

heres another noob one for you:
when the MAIT REQ light comes on-
it only means time for oil change,, based on miles since last reset of `timer`

Another simple question.... How old are you? I only ask because I just want to judge what cars/years are being beat up nowadays.

Sorry I just posted that while I was/or still is drunk maybe because I was a bit curious on why are you reving the engine so high in park anyways. Is that the cool thing to do nowadays?

Naw I just hadn't started the car in a long time, so I let it warm up and I thought since it has a flat tire Ill rev it a little.
