Angry Need Help!

I have the 2003 Tl-s and My driver side headlight doesn't turn on!!! It sorta blinks for a sec and doesn't turn on. I check with the local dealer and they said that they are not sure if the bulb's out or the Ignitions?? is broken. Do I have to replace the bulb only or the ignition thing? The damn bulb is $130 and ignition is $500. Their charging $100 just to check if the bulb is out or the ignitions broken. I'm a studnet with limited budget. I need advise PLEASE!!!

Also I'm trying to do the whole tune up since i have the next week off. What kind of tranny oil & cooler should i use and how much?? besides engine and tranny oil change what should i do??? have little over 50K miles on my 03 tl-s. Thank you.

what you can do is just swap the bulbs to see if the problem presists.. if it does then you can just replace the blub(s) and problem solved.. if not then then unfourtinately your ballast might be going bad.

Switch the bulbs to see if that takes care of the drivers side problem. Bulbs can be bought at Salvage yards for a fraction of the price of a new one. Also any other parts you may need if it isn't the bulb. The stealership would love to make $400-$500 off you for $50 dollars worth of parts. New pair of 4300k Bulbs on Ebay are around $65, If it's not the bulb it's probably the Ballast. They can also be bought at the Salvage Yard.
