Need to confirm header issue!

I emailed megan about my engine not reving to redline when rolling in neutral. They said there is a rev limiter when in neutral. I told them the limiter is only in effect when the car is not moving, and they said another TL owner said it is anytime it's in neutral. Can you guys check, so I can have some data? Thanks!

we already told you there is a limiter on the tl in neutral. its lower when not moving than when moving. The header WILL NOT change your revlimiter. thats computer controlled

When rolling in neutral, I am limited BEFORE redline. Megan said this is normal for our TL's. This is what you guys told me in my last thread.

Well, that's even more confusing since Pure Adrenaline says he can rev to redline.

ok i just went out and tried it. on mine (2000 tl-p) the revlimiter while moving in neutral kicks in about 5800-6k. it doesnt come near the normal redline rev cutoff and its still a soft limiter not like teh in gear revlimiter

Ok, thanks for checking that out. That's exactly where mine kicks in as well when I'm moving. Although, I could have sworn it would go to redline before. Anyways, I guess everything is ok with my headers then . The hissing sound has actually gone down a bit as well.

I just think it's cool to do at a red light.

No, the real reason is just that I was checking for leaks, and thought I would be able to hear it when I revved the engine, and I noticed that it wouldn't go to redline, when before I remembered that I could, so I felt this wasn't normal and therefore I made this poll to see if my car was behaving normally or not. The only problem is every option has been voted for, so the poll hasn't really solved anything yet. Since other people's cars are behaving like mine, I'm just going to assume there's nothing wrong with my headers.

I changed my headers, and felt that my car was doing something it didn't do before, so I asked if other people experienced the same thing. It's not like I randomly wondered if I could rev to redline while rolling in neutral. Explain how it's stupid?
