hi i was wondering if anybody with a 2002 aegean blue pearl acura tl type-s would read me ther ext paint code. it is located when you open the the drivers door. the number is above the vin. thx 4 the help guys

I recommend looking inside your door on the frame.

 

I checked my sticker as well. It is not on the same sticker as the VIN, but it is on the inside door frame.

hate to bring this thread back from the dead, but anybody know where I would go about getting enough paint to repaint my whole car? Anybody know how many gallons are needed? How expensive is the paint?

 

At the body shop! In their paint booth! Out of their spray guns!

lol, jk man. Are you going to paint it yourself? Seems like a big undertaking. Where you gonna do it?

I would ask the body shop that I use, but personally don't know off hand. Someone surely will know though.

Find a automotive paint store in your area. They will mix it up. But i have to say is if you have to ask, are you going to attempt to paint this yourself?

Good rule of thumb is 7oz for every panel per coat. 3 coats usually comes out to be 3-4 quarts unreduced or 1.5 to 2 gallons reduced. (that will let you spray jambs and stuff)
