Navigation Oil

I recently brought an 01 DVD nav unit. I wanted to up grade from my current hard drive based unit. The problem is the DVD unit seems to be seeping some kind of oil. Any helpful suggestion would be appreaciated.

Thanks

It shouldn't be. Perhaps the place you bought it from spilled oil on it?

That oil has to come from Texas on your new DVD map. Can you turn it to 93 gas? (JK)

Seriously, I’m not quite sure, but DVD unit may have a transformer, that can have oil inside. Hopefully, somebody can clarify that mystery.

take it apart and see where it's coming from.

I just hope they didn't fill your navi unit with blinker fluid by accident

i wonder if it's the lithium grease they use for the moving parts in the dvd player....

yeah let us know when you take it apart. generally those things are not tough to disassemble.
