high speed buffer?

I was looking into getting a GOOD high SPEED buffer on ebay....anyone have any recommendations and around how much should i expect to pay?

also I don't do the whole clay bar and all that stuff when waxing...i usually just wash my car and pull it in the garage...let it sit for an hour and then just apply the wax and wipe it off throughout the car...any recommendations on a simple wax?

thanks, Nick

Go to Walmart and buy a $10 10-inch orbital buffer.

if you clay the car, it makes the waxing effort just that much better and cleaner looking. claying a car is as simple and getting it wet and working the clay bar up and down.

but if he got a good buffer and compound he wouldnt need to clay.

I would recomend this for the DIY'er

http://www.meguiars.com/?pro-car-det...ction-Polisher

and this to replace the claybar step. This will work alot better than claybar, and polishes at the same time.

then wax of your choice

zaino is great stuff. NXT by Meguiars is good stuff and very easy to put on and take off

its really not that hard. Unless your a idiot and hold it in 1 place your fairly safe. (that and stay away from edges)

That said thats why i recomended the meguiars product above. Its designed to eliminate those worries and is for the amatures!

I think the Porter Cable unit would be a lot cheaper, and it's the same thing? I just ordered one off Amazon for like ~$100 shipped.
