NAVI Roullette
One of the fun parts of having the NAVI is seeing the "short cuts" that pop up from time to time. A quick scroll of the map while stopped at a light or intersection may reveal a road that you may have passed for years, but never quite known where it led.
Well, today was a nice day, and I was returning home from a trip to southern Connecticut, and we came back through a part of the state that I do not know as well as some areas. I was in no hurry, so I scrolled my map and found a line that looked good, and headed down the road.
Well, it started out Ok, then turned to dirt, then to stone, then to rock! It was a trip. Here I am in a lowered TL-S with the body kit, a wife in the passengers seat telling me to turn around, and my NAVI screen edging me onward.
Well, I kept going, over some serious debris and ledge, and IT WAS COOL!!! If I had a digital camera, you guys would not believe it. I can honestly say that the road was so bad, I would not go back down it again (in the TL-S) to take pictures, but it was an experience that was worth it.
The car survived unscathed, but there were a few tense moments, and I actually had to get out of the car and check the road "up close" on one particular hill.
Anyway, it just goes to show how much fun the NAVI is. It also shows how FRUSTRATING it can be, when a road like this one shows up on the screen, yet practacly every street in my town is NOT ON THE NAVI MAP (2.05)!!!

yeah, i always think that these kind of system should also include the level / inclination of the road as well as the road conditions. i just think they could come in very handy sometimes.
