My navi has been working fine ever since i bought the car but yesterday it started acting up. Everytime i want to put a destination address it lets me but once it goes to the map the voice always says GO TO THE HIGHLIGHTED ROUTE and its stuck on that and at the top of the screen it says please wait? can anyone tell me what to do....

 

The only thing I can tell you is that every once in a while your navi gets confused. For me, just turning off my engine and restarting my car seems to put things back in order.

Since you've obvioulsly already shut off your engine... your navi should be good as new again.

Its been like this for a while turning off made no difference i even took off the battery for while and put back on, still nothing i also checked the navi fuse and its fine.. I dont know what else to do?

 

I have seen that problem before. I would suggest to check the DVD to make sure there is no dust or scratches on the DVD. The navi might start loading the maps and getting stuck there.

Just a thought.

sorry about the wait navi still dont work but it has improved i went to best buy and bought the air duster i dont know if u guys know it but anyway i just sprayed in the DVD drive and tried it out it. It improved it shows how to get to places by the highlight dirrections still no voice other then GO TO THE HIGHLIGHT ROUTE

Just decent A/M navigation system. There's alot out there!!!

 

I got the car checked out and it turns out that the problem was that the speed sensor wasnt sending a signal to the navigation system. So now i need a speed sensor...

 

I've gone through 3 navi systems and when I get the stomach for all the hell again will get a 4th. Mine has never been right, after the last swap out it worked for about 4-6 months then started exhibiting all it's anomolies again and some new ones.
Screen tilts
Car marker over 1 city block off actual location
3 stripes in upper left often are black for miles
Car "falls off" freeway and tells me to enter at next ramp
Lady can't say commands correctly at varying times
premature destination
and more...

I'm waiting for news of the new software that's supposed to come out now, I want that to be part of the repair as I feel some of the issues might be software related as they have NEVER been fixed, just tolorated.
