WARNING: If you are tired of reading praises for the NAVI stop here.

We got our TL w/NAVI in March. The NAVI has come in handy and we found that we use it a few times a month. Up until last night it was just a novelty and nice to have.

Last night we were coming home from South Jersey. I am not familiar with South Jersey at all. It seems like many of the roads there are long and dark with no one to be found. Anyway we were cruising along using the NAVI when suddenly we run into a "bridge out ahead" sign with no detour given! If I was using MapQuest I would have been dead meat. Something like this would normally have lead to at least an hour of arguing with my wife. Plus it was about 10pm already.

I knew the NAVI had the detour function but I never used it before. I gave it a hit and after a recalculation it told us to turn around and found us another way home.

After that I decided I will always have at least one car in the family with a NAVI. Just that one incident was worth the cost to me.

One negative point, I noticed there are many more streets in South Jersey that don’t show up on the map. North Jersey is much more complete. Maybe the latest DVD is more up to date?

I have not used the Detour Feature yet myself.
That is the situation the owners manual says its to be used for.
I look at it this way doopstr: you shut up one girl only to have anotherone tell you what to do
I orded 2.05 DVD version last week I hope it gets here today.
I will put it to the test & see whats new on it.

yup, NAVI's awesome!

Detour is also perfect when you get stuck in traffic. If you see there's a huge delay, just hit detour, get off the next exit and let the NAV do it's thing
