<NATE> Your Expertise, Please...LED's

How hard would it be to swap something like this into our factory ones?
LED Ones....

Look at these too -- they go in the headlights to deter people:

Thanks man!

The headlight ones require you to drill a hole into your headlight casing, just like strobes do (granted its a smaller hole). Thats why I wouldn't do it. I'm sure it'd look cool, but it would also draw a bit of attention when you aren't around as well.

The other one I take it you mean to replace the factory alarm LED in the door? Its a direct replacement and I have done it. It was the first LED I replaced. However, I recently bought a couple Varad LEDs and they sent me these things that when powered blink really fast. Sucks! Maybe I just bought the wrong LEDs, or maybe theres a way to hook them up differently. They come on a little bread board with a capacitor, etc. Probably you could run just the LED with a resistor and it wouldn't flash.

Yup Nate, you have to cut off the bread board and just use the LED. I had the same problem. The bread board is a ciircuit that allows the bulb to flash. I guess if you wanted it to look like you had an alarm you could do that.

I mounted mine in the front of the arm that holds the rearview mirror. It looks awesome at night. Super Blue

Don't worry Tommy, you're not the only one here. I hate those electric experts.
I wanna know, too.

You're gonna have to cut the OEM one out and wire in the new one. It's not that hard.
