Is my VTEC broken??!!
I hate dealerships....(they know nothing about cars)......Ok so anyways, my transmission went one day (again lol)....and i took it to the dealership. Like usual, they fixed the transmission, but broke something else. They claimed to have replaced the "DTC" sensor i think. But when i drive the car, as soon as it hits 4,500 RPM (where vtec starts) my intake starts backfiring, and the car shifts really rough, and goes slower than a civic! I think its either the air and fuel ratio, the stupid sensor, or my VTEC.
If any one has any ideas....PLEASE HELP.....(thank you to anyone who replies

Doesnt matter what we think- it didnt do that before it went in the shop right?
so if you can drive it- take it back in and tell them something dramatic is wrong and seems to cause it to go in to safe mode for the engine or worse
Hopefully something was left unplugged

could be the TDC top dead center sensor that tells the engine when to spark a cylinder is misaligned or defective- they are probably not made by the highest bidder you know!
I alway suspect the most recently changed part
Just take it back, speak in person with the SERVICE MANAGER- who needs to know the staff let this one out the door messed up
Acura has a standard for customer satisfaction- anything less than 10 is a failing grade and affects the BONUS $$$$ these guys want to make
You are not even at 1 of happy right now!
