My tranny just went out today
I had already set up an appt for Tuesday, two weeks ago for the recall. All of a sudden today it went out. I am probably going to have it towed there tonight to see if they can look at it tommorrow (Monday). Do you think that I am going to get any problems from them as far as replacing it? Any advice?

MY appt is 11/8.....i seriously think mine's going out...it's shifting so rough.....it's crazy......
oh BTW---i hear some people say if you floor it to redline you the tranny kicks and chirps from 1st to 2nd....is that true?....cuz today i just happened to redline it and right when it shifted the car friggin jolted forward and VSA came on.....i was like WHOA....i heard the new trannies don't do that (neither will i, w/ a new tranny)....just curious. -shawn

I've had that happen with VSA on and off...
And when VSA is on, yes, it does come on during that powerful shift, but it chirps before you hear the engine being subdued.
With VSA off, ohhhh baby... and hold on to that steering wheel!

damn my tranny has been messin up since 5,000 miles now i have 15,000 mainly from miami to jacksonville drives (did 3 in one month) and the weekend i didn't go to miami i went to talahassee! well it got stuck in 2nd gear racing. . but i must say i still beat the guy !!!!

First call to the dealership
They were very helpful and understanding. They offered to set me up with a rental for the time being, as long as they diagnose the problem as being the transmission.

They've been treating me right
Set me up with a rental car, and they said that I should have my car back tomorrow. I have to say that I was impressed with Leith Acura in Cary, NC.
