Trust me, I'm seeing that. That's too bad too. I feel like the luck of the CLS is timeless and the fact that it really had such limited numbers makes it that much more difficult.
But for what is available, a lot of you guys have done great jobs and I admire choices in wheels, stereo setups and my list goes on. I'm glad every time I move on with buying a new car, I find at least one forum with a ton of information, great cars and great people

LOVE the shiftknob, KEEP IT
also about this rv6 module, i get that it is some type of auto tranny emulater or so,
but i was woundering how it hooks ups? (in general terms, like cut harness at ecu and wire in there) (or plugs into all of old tranny's harness)?
what you did with the old tranny's wiring (zip tied out of the way) ( or cut off)?
saw that you bought it used off someone, so you didn't have to wait, but might there be a place that i might be able to buy one from like online or something (also maybe who makes it)? so maybe one day i could convert my tl to 6MT

^yup richie is an honest and one smart guy. i went his shop and he is using his module on his 6th gen accord and i think his 7th. also he has made a module for ppl that have j series engine swaps in their civics. he is using one on his j swapped civic and works flawlessly

There is a wait on the rv6 module, if you plan on doing the swap in the future... I'd get on the list now... google v6 obsession and you'll get the honda forums with the thread. As for how it works, you cut into the ecu wire and connect the module to it.... it's ridiculously easy and richie sends you a fool proof diagram. The swap is pretty straight foward, it's not as hard as it looks.
wish i could do the swap, but soon to be wifey doesn't want a manual,, even though i get parts at wholesale, i keep telling her that we would't have to worry about the p.o.s. auto tranny anymore (previous owner would love to see it a manual too) the auto tranny does acts funny some times, and it has already d itself once of it's fluid with the previos owner, so it's going have to replaced at some point anyways

As far as holding up, i have closing in on 175k if i remember correctly on the 6 speed conversion. Flawless and it should have been something i did sooner. Though motor mounts seem to fail on me quicker lol. but im addressing that with the new motor.

Using the Richie module its pretty easy. The module wasnt available when i did it, if i had to do it again with the module i could probably achieve the swap in a day.

also as far as richie's module, i wired mine to my boomslang harness, so i had to hardly even touch the factory harness (minus extending the main shaft sensor's wires, in the engine compartment)

reservoir is bolt-in if you get a hold of the god damn fucking bracket (been on backorder since august )

1.) Richie's Module - is it plug-and-play? I only saw someone using it who had a TL-P. Wiring scares the shit out of me, but I'll learn if I have to...I need to practice soldering before hand anyway.
2.) Headers - I have XS Power headers and the rear set has the curve in it. Will this still fit?
I'm gonna have to do this by myself, in my garage Anyone know anyone in the ATL area that might be able to do this for a decent price if I provide ALL the parts?
PS: Sorry for piggybacking this thread, but it's semi-relevant and I didn't want to make a whole new thread when there's a ton out there alreay.

Ah, ok. I've been researching the last few hours and I think I've gained enough knowledge now, but had a few questions:

you still will have to cut and solder some on the factory harness though, but it is greatly minimized though (i think i only did like 2-3 wires total, to get all my dash lights "off" (i still got more though, i just have been too lazy , for like cruise, memory seat, parking brake (which works, just no light on the dash), and my reverse lights too
btw, you can also do like "assclown", he did the mechanical side of things, and let a shop do the wiring part (he also swapped a type-s though, into his 2000 TL)
2. as long as it has the curve, then yes it will be fine (and don't be lazy, and not change out your rear mount out at the same time, a couple of us, have broken a couple of things, from leaving the automatic mount on the rear, for a while)(it's the reason why you need the bend in the manifold)
as far as doing it yourself, actually not too bad, especially if you have changed a clutch before

My reservoir is just hanging behind the strutbar. No bracket. I also use a 92-95 Clutch master cylinder from a civic because the acura CL cmc has this clip for the hose (which was on super backorder from acura)
The car holds up fine, only problem I had was the car made too much power for a stock clutch. I changed to a clutchmaster fx300 and no more slipping.
One bad thing is that I lose supercharger whine, only because the car revs too damn fast and has too much torque that I have to constantly shift when I wot. If I did the 6mt before my s/c, I would have went turbo hands down.
