My TL-S Stolen from my house!!!!!!!!!!

:'( Happend three nights ago...Ok... So I had parked my car in the driveway for the night, next morning I get up to go to work and my car is missing! whats wierd is that all though my car was stolen, no glass was broken, or at least any that fell onto the ground. It's like the thieves had a key to the car and just drove it off. Anyways, I don’t really have much to say except, this sucks balls, my car is gone, I just spend 350 dollars on exhaust, 250 on window tint, and another 500 on tires just last week! Most likely I will be buying a new car soon, it’s so sad because I loveed this TL-S so much! Just needed to vent and share my sad news... I will keep yall updated...

J.P. :'(

One suggestion... Your first mod on your new car should be a good aftermarket alarm system! One with a pager so that you'll be alerted when someone f's with your baby.

Perhaps one of the shops you visited last week for mods\tires got a copy of your key in the process... Sorry to hear about your loss.

Sorry man. Maybe they towed the car away? Another thing you can do is install a starter kill switch in a remote location but then again if they towed the car, it wouldnt do shit either.

My neibour had his BRAND NEW, ONE DAY OLD, GX45 stolen out of a LOCKED garage.. and that car, I beilive has laser cut keys with a microchip as well..

The damn car was taken out of the locked garage and backed around the other two cars in the driveway to get to the street!!!

If thy want your car they'll get it.. This is almost painfully obvious that it is an inside job, someone at the dealership must have swiped one of the spares before it was sold. Then kept an eye on it until it was sold and got the address for the buyer from the paperwork....

HAHAHAHAHA - Funny - Unfortunate yes, but no one was hurt and there couldn't be any attachment to a car one day old.. so overall it is funny in my book....

LOL. that is funny. 1 day old LEX stolen out of the garage. Don't the police know these have to be inside jobs and try checking the people at the dealer first?

Sounds like they flat-bedded your car. You really can't do anything about that except get an alarm system with a tilt-meter.

Sorry to hear it and good luck.

There's no QX45 in the Infiniti lineup. Do you mean the QX56, the new SUV based on the Armada? Or are you talking about Lexus GX470?

Unfortunately one could easily jam the radio communication and prevent lojack or other systems from broadcasting. In Eastern Europe every car thief has such jamming equipment, it's very cheap stuff.

I think it was the Q45. Someone told me it was a QX45. I thought it was a Q45 with four wheel drive considering the Q45 is rear wheel drive.. I think they were wrong on the "X" part, but it was definetly an Infiniti Q45.. thats the one that was a 350 v8..

C'mon, give me a break! And you know this how? TLC? The Discovery Channel? Anyway, he's not in Europe. My philosophy is that you do what you can to protect yourself. Not doing something because a few people can bypass your defenses is foolish in my book.

Just my two cents,

V.

To the original poster: I'm sorry that your car was stolen.

OK OK, you're right, I just wanted to point out the (potential) weakness of the system. I didn't make this jamming up -- that's the weakest link in the protection. But this is definitely not Eastern Europe here. Over there you can't even use an ATM without a serious danger of being ripped off. Yes, I know how they jam systems like LoJack. This protection is based on cellular phone technology. In Europe, they have jammers in concert halls, theaters, operating rooms, and many other places, to prevent unwanted cell phones rings. So the jammer is practically a consumer product, available to anybody. I'm sure that the situation is different here. But still, it's enough to block the RF signal, and no matter how comprehensive a protection you have, it's useless if it's unable to broadcast. You know how weak the wireless connections are, and how often they break up. A microwave is more than enough to disrupt a wireless home network. Until recently cell phone conversations broke up all the time. My opinion is that you can protect yourself very well against wanna-be thieves and gang, but not against organized crime. I'm not saying we shouldn't have a decent protection.

Sorry to hear about your car bro, hopefully it will be recovered. About 2 years ago a neigbor of mine had his range rover stolen out of the driveway and the benz was taken out of the garage around 4:00am. He also had security cameras outside his house and the thieves even looked straight into them. Anyways, the cops didnt do shit all they told him was that the cars were probably already on a ship on their way off to some other country. I hope all works out. Keep us posted.

Obviously you've never had your car stolen then recovered. It just does not feel right. It's better if they never found it, or totalled.

I thought of that too, but he reported it to the cops and when they repo a car, they tell the cops first so they don't go nuts looking for it. It would be nice though, at least you know your car was safe.
I hope they find it!

friend of mine had he ford ranger stolen and burned.....funny thing was she was planning to make candles for christmas so she had 50 pounds of brick wax in the back of the truck.. the only thing left of the whole truck was one wheel and it was melted sooo bad.. I have a aluminum dripping from the truck's wheel as a momento... the police couldn't figure what the thiefs did to make it burn sooo much... she told me about the wax four months later....I was like"duh, that's why the truck burned so much, it was like a truck candle!!! there isn't too much more you could do to make the truck burn any longer, gas would burn away but wax works perfectly".......lol

Very sorry about your car being jacked.

Trust me, You don't want a stollen recovery. Many of these stollen rides show up dumped in a secluded area or bad neighborhood thrashed to hell. Stereo gutted out, wheels & tires gone, seats missing, broken glass, & dents all over it. You don't want to deal with that. The insurance company usually makes you wait a week or two before paying out on a stollen car because so many end up being recovered like this. My advice is to get your check from the insurance ASAP and move on to a new ride. I noticed from your mods that you had it modded out so it could have caught the eye of someone looking to strip the goods off of it.

I hope it all works out OK for you.

Man i hate these horror stories ... if my car was missing i'd go insane!!!!

A few nites ago my alarm (Viper 791) went blaring at 2:30 AM infront of my house. I realized even though I have a paging remote, the best I could do is either call the cops or go outside with my bat.

Next morning all my neighbors were wondering who's alarm went off and I'm pretty sure they were pissed haha...ppl like 8 houses down heard it heh.

Note to self: get tranq pistol.

I've heard the latest thing is for theives to write down the VIN, then approach a dealer for a replacement key (pretending to be the owner). Another fave from the UK was to cut the parking brake cable and tow it away.

You have my sympathies. Hope it all works out. If you have the receipts for the stuff you added on, make sure to give copies to your insurance company.
