Is gen 3 GTI the newest one? If his is a 5 speed, then good luck. However, I did beat one racing from stop signs to stop signs, up to 60mph or so. I had my wife in my car and he was alone. One time, I even let him start first and I still caught him and passed him. Of course, I have mods and yours is stock so I guess you'll know by tonight.

First it depends on what year TL you have. If you own a 2000+ then you will pull him with ease. I raced a 2001 Gti Vr6 and in third gear I pulled at least two car lengths. Maybe he couldnt drive, but he was one of my friends and he isnt that bad of a driver (it was a 5spd). I hope that you win cause they test slower then the TL's do, good hunting...

hahaaha, no we got on a parking lot srip round 1/4 mile long, we got up tpo round 80-90, he pulled on me and unded up round a car car and a half in froont, he had intake so..but his GTi was pretty badass.

Im from Timonium MD. We raced at Trinity Church. Its off west joppa road, near the intersection of Falls road and W Joppa in Greenspring. Near St.Pauls School. Around a 1/4 mile strip of parking lot. Normally no one there at night on weekdays, but there were liek 20 people there !!!! Who goes to church on mondays at 9:30 pm?????

well I know where Timonium is yet I have not a clue where the place you raced at is. I am from Mt. Airy, but all my friends live out in Columbia and Rt. 40 so if I see you around I'll give you honk. Also, if you like to race there are two main spots that people meet at on Sat. nights that you might like to check out. One is Northern Parkway, almost right off 695 (let me know if you want directions), and the second one, which I would reccomend and has alot bigger turn out of cars is Metro. It is way down in PG county near the metro station, close to College Park. If you are interested and you havent heard of them then let me know I will let you know how to get there.
