My Rant

Anyone noticed all the younger and younger people aquiring TL's? Not a big deal, but none of these new members search at ALL.

Its a shame that the TL's gotten so old and dropped its value enough that its now a first-car for 16 yr old kids. I'm not discriminating, just tired of 36 new people all posting in the same thread about a subject that already has like 50 threads on it. All these new people have like 3 posts and obviously cant search.

Sorry...just lately there hasn't been anything new going on with the forums except a sudden flood of posts that has everyone with replying with "SEARCH, SEARCH, SEARCH"

Peace

Adam is half my age and talking about ~those kids~ with TLs hahahah

recently someone told me I wasnt so high and mighty with my 3000+ post
because I had only started 12 threads

Well, there were a few noob questions I couldnt find answers to- then I read all the threads of interest and added info where I could, the rest were tech info I found to share!

Like my old Aunt Rosanne Rosanadana used to say:

Its always sumpthin- if its not one thing, its the other!

I have a question. What is a CAI?

J/K. I agree witht he original poster.
01tl4tl knows his shit and I bet you probably don't start many threads because you don't have a lot of questions about cars because you've been working on them for longer than most members here have been alive, including myself I'd bet.

Well, everyone buy Tam thats is. But hes just an instigator , and of course you.

Maybe you should read the post again and see what its really about, which isn't age. Everyone else seems to understand.

HAHA I'm a great example of this thread. I've started using the search option alot lately. Most of my questions I've asked have been answered by the same three people and 01tl4tl is one of them, he's probably answered like 20,000 of my questions.

But i'll have you know this isn't my first car. My first car was a 97 grand cherokee that broke down once a week literally. Theres a long story to it but to make it short it got hit by lightning and I searched for probably 6 monthes before I found just the right car, and that car is what I drive now, and I DO make payments on it.

But yes when I first joined the forum I did ask a lot of noob questions that could've been answered by a simple search.

I've had mine since i was 16. And it's a Type S. I am the youngest member to have one on this board with the price/time factor because the legal age to drive is 16 and that was 4 years ago and I was on this board previously too on another nick. I don't know what the problem is. I remember seeing a thread earlier this year with some kid who is 15 now and has an 00 TL waiting for him.

Honestly that's not as cool as my situation because in 04 I had an 02 type S waiting for me with only 40k click I think. I've been driving it ever since. Man I love this car!

P.S. I only wanted to sound arrogant in the above post so the other kids know that they have it good, and I have it better, and they shouldn't be proud of it. I usually avoid these threads but reality check was in order!

haha dude this kid ^^ is funny! arrogant sob haha. but yea, i also fall into the young kids with a tl group but i am an avid search user i love it. actually most of the time i just skip down to see what 01tl4tl has to say. then i read past his usal "seafoam, NGK, Racingbrakes, etc" spiel and take his advice on the other stuff haha.

but yea.... way too many new posts that can be answered by search. why dont the mods set a rule that you cant start threads till you have 50 posts.

Wow...PRIME EXAMPLE.

I can't believe this, I've avidly followed the forums rules about language use, but the time has come.

Fuck you

As for my parents not having the money to get me a "freakin TL", they did. Why? I had to get an advanced diploma and have a 4.0 from a military highschool/college where I achieved the highest rank and awards possible. Graduation present? No. Commitment to a deal I made prior to going to school, yes.

I paid $8000 of the $15000 tag on the spot. That what went the car still had a $20000 price tag on it still and wasnt a first car for anyone 16 or 17 yrs old. We knew the dealer so we got it at cost. I wasn't given anything like your punk ass, and honestly I've never seen anyone so immature on these forums since I've been here. People like you belong on H-T or something. Here's some advice for you. Sell your TL, you're too much of a brat for it. Go buy an integra and go over to team-integra, you're attitude will fit in perfectly. So get in check with reality you punk. Brag with your B.S. "i got this and this and I do this and this and I'm so cool you suck" crap all day long. If that were the case, you wouldn't be on here acting like a fool, you'd be more mature.

Kris, Derrick, Ron...feel free to clean up his obnoxious posts along with this one at any time if you like. Sorry for the language too.

Also, the thing about young people aquiring TL's isn't the focus of my rant, nor was it an attack at anyone who think that might apply to them. I was simply refering to the fact that most of the people who aren't searching and creating duplicate posts on matters discussed way too many times already, usually without failing they are always like 16 or something with 3 posts to their name and too lazy to search. Their excuse is the same every time, "the forums are here for that, to share knowledge and look up blah blah." If you want to say that, then practice it. To look up information and blah blah. Do it, LOOK IT UP before you flood the forums with more useless garbage.

Perhaps I'm out of place psting this in the 2nd gen general forums. Maybe this belongs in Ramblings. I only posted this here because it was directly involved with 2nd gen's and thier owners. It seems so far that the concensus is people agree with me. If not, no disrespect taken, to each is own.

Peace
