Sunday morning I awoke to a sudden screach then crash. I was concerned because my car was parked on the side of the road in front of my house. When I got outside I found that my car had been rear ended. The trunk was completely obliterated and it appeared to be totalled. I got it towed and now I'm waiting for the claims adjusters to get to it. I have to wait for the police officer to contact me and get all the info I need. Nevertheless I am sad I lost my car. BTW my car is a '99 Acura 3.2TL with around 62k miles on it, 20k of which were mine.

The cop never returned with the information I needed.

Cincinnati cops suck! First the officer told me he would get the information that I needed later that day, meaning he would come back. Well, he never even came back or called me. I called his precinct later that day and left a message. He hasn't returned my call. In order to get a report I need to wait 10 days. That means my car will be sitting in a garage, that I have to pay $12 for each day, for 10 days to get the records. This is ridiculous. My insurance company won't start acting until they get the info from the other car, which I can't get because the cop stonewalled me.

I dont' know what to do, I think I might borrow one of my friends cars tomorrow and go to the station to see what I can do but this is so frustrating.

Dude I'm sorry for what happend..on another note whatever you are going to do...do it in person because it is easy to blow someone off over the phone. A constant prescence until you get what you need will work much more effectively, trust me I went through something similiar. My baby got sideswiped and for the first two days I got nothing as soon as i started to show up at the preceint i got what i wanted within 48 hours not 10 days like i originally was told by clifton police. Good luck...stay on top of it.

 

get another acura

 

A mandatory requirement for the replacement car is that it has a manual transmission. Fully manual, not manumatic B.S. I've suffered nearly two years with that slush box and I'm ready for a stick. The only Acura that has a stick that would be in my interest is an RSX-S. Possibly an Integra GS-R if there isn't much money but I definitely like the RSX. If there is A LOT of money there (i.e. my dad provides with significan cash, I'm thinking CL-S 6-spd.

The back up is always a late model Maxima SE.
