As long as you maintain the leather, hopefully it won't get worse. Check out the Wash & Wax section, there's a lot of info there. I remember reading that using a damp warm cloth and wiping the seats when cleaning helps keep the moisture in them...or something like that. Sorry couldn't be more of a help.

no!

the fact that you had to zoom in 100X with your camera for it show up (it looks about the size as one of the stiches). Phee's got the right idea with the sharpie!

General leather care = Lexol leather reconditioner - I do it each time I wax the car - keeps leather from cracking / discoloring etc. Your car will smell like a cow for about a week, but it works great. Can find it at most repair shops (kragen, etc).

Looks like a conspiracy! just kidding, keep it oiled up especially since summer is knocking, like GOLDTL said, they make leather patch kits, my dad used one on the seat of one of his harleys, looks good.

since the OP got his seats fixed... what can we use to protect our leather in the summer time? i know the sun will be beating down on my black leather when it starts getting warmer... plus my leather isnt in very good condition what steps can be taken to keep it in decent shape? also people are in and out of my car a lot

Lexol (see post above) - works great - i've used it for years and leather looks brand new. Murphy's soap oil to clean any stains (like my son's juice box that spilled in the back seat several weeks ago - just found it today).

Woolite and water to clean
Lexol to condition
Aerospace 303 for UV protection

Wash and wax has a ton of threads and links for leather care
