Contrats... They will make a huge difference!!! Trust me... I got wider tires (225) and the car handles a lot better than before. So, I say you should get the 225mm width tire. Sorry that I am not sure about the profile of the tire that you should get... But get summer tires for sure... since you don't have to worry about the winter...

Yea they sure do look better in person then in the pictures. I saw them on Shoofin's TL and was pretty amazed at how good they looked.

Thanks guys.....did I tell you that I am soo stoked?!? Just checkin'!! Wassup Dean! Sounds like a plan...we can all get together and shoot da sh*t! I'm planning on going to my friends place to see what size tire will fit well with these rims. I seriously want to go with 235/45-17 and hope they fit. Hoep to get the new rubber mounted within the next week or 2. Will keep you posted!

I think they will fit... and since other's have little or no problem with 235, you should be okay...

Good luck and enjoy...

Songoku...a guy posted them in the for sale forum. Picked them up for 5 bills. Rims are in excellent shape. However it took me at least 8 months to hunt down a set. Good luck in finding a set...post a want-to-buy at the acura-cl forum. I think Shoofin' got his that way.

Thanks to all for the advise...I'm gonna try 235/45-17 RE730. Will let you all know how it turns out!

Howzit Randy,
I have 225/45's on my car. If you have not checked already, go to this site to compare the sizes against the stock tires. It helps to know the overall size and + or - change in speedometer reading. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Wassup Dean...so when did you upgrade your rims/tires?? What did you get? Thanks for the info..and yeah I did check out that site earlier. The 235's will be much closer to the stock height than the 215/45 would. I say chance 'um with the 235's...she fit I'm happy...no fit and I'm f***ed! haha!

Anytime you need help Lawaia, I'm here... Thanks for the compliments joey(BDIMC).. Randy, You should be ok with 235's..they seemed to fit on my '99 but I went safe with 225's..Also, my observation showed more room in the front of the wheelwell on a '01 TL than my '99... so there is a possibility that some people with 00 and 01 TL's may be able to put a wheel on with better results than us with '99's..
