My experience at the dealership
On Saturday I took my 99 to Sherway Acura in TO for a wheel alignment and tire rotation. When I arrived, got greeted by the service guy, he took all my info and ask me to wait for a few minutes while he check to see if my car has any recall. I thought this was pretty responsible of them. Good experience for once!

they have to check for recalls. The only reason a manufacturer would recall a car is if the overall operation or safety of the vehicle is compromised. So, them doing it is not courtesy is necessary
