My Dyno Results

Talked about it a little in my other thread, but i'll make this the official one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIhSytoKEsw
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSbu6rPVOZI

I got 194.3whp/184wtq on a dynojet. These numbers seem a bit low, what could be the possible problem? Unless, im just expecting more and these are perfectly fine. I have I/H/E/P and was expecting at least 200whp+.

Oil change is due soon, spark plugs have never been changed and are OEM (50k miles). I plan on changing the plugs to colder ones, I had zex plugs come with my nitrous kit which are for FI or Nitrous. Would those be ok?

The ZEX plugs are garbage. I've never had a set do well on the dyno (on tubo Civics). Replace them with a colder NGK plug.
What Intake and header do you have. I can see the exh. looks like Magnaflow.

Really, this one guy with nitrous suggested me them. But I'll take your word on the NGK plugs, would you be able to link me to the exact plugs I need?

I have an AEM V2 CAI with the dryflow filter, XSP Headers, UR Crank Pulley, and you guessed it, catback Magnaflow Exhaust.

The numbers look right for TL-P.
For TL-S with similar mods, it should be around 210hp.

Really? I thought a S would put down like 225-230whp with similar mods? Or would that refer to a CL-S 6spd.

Anyone else here with a tlp have any dyno #'s to share?

gotta remember all dynos and all cars read differently even TL P's.

best scenario would of been to get a baseline dyno while stock of ur car then use that same dyno after all ur mods. it would of been a little more accurate even tho there are many other variables to consider.

if u were to go on a diff dyno, u would probably pull close or over 200hp and then on another hi 180's. dyno numbers are relative. just a tool to see if the mods u get are really helping.

hope this helps.....

^Yeah, I pretty much realized that a dyno is just a tuning tool and for bragging rights. Im gonna take it to the track.. thats where it all matters.

For the best possible performance and dyno numbers you should do a few things before testing

Fresh Spark Plugs
Fresh Full Synthetic Oil- less friction=more HP
Clean Air Filter Element
Tires Proper Pressure

It will be interesting to see what my 01 TL pulls

I think you can better numbers than that easily. Give your car a good tune up and I bet you can get 10 more WHP easily.

^Yeh, i'll make sure I do that before the next dyno. I gotta clean my air filter (been 10k), change the plugs (50k), and change my oil (due next month).

L's TL- I'll make sure to bring a K&N with me to the next dyno to see if there really is any difference.
