My ballasts finally decided to die on me. (Condensation)
I had my headlights blacked out but my car was in a accident on the pass. side so that headlight housing was always a little iffy. After the blackout, there was always condensation in there everytime it rained. And finally after about 3 months; today my ballast decided to die on me.
I already found a headlight housing as I'm not risking another dead ballast. I kind of searched but couldn't really find it.
Would the 3rd Gen TL Ballast fit the 2nd gen TL because used 2nd gen ballast are kind of hard to find local. Also would I need a new ignitor?
My hi-beam on that side seems kind of dead too. It turns on slightly along with my driver side when my lows are on, I guess because one headlight is out. But when I try to turn the high beam on, only the driver side comes on. Is my hi-beam done too? because it still turns on slightly but not when I turn them on manually.
Nevertheless, now I'm rolling around with the fog light mod so I still look cool, even with a dead ballast.

I would but a lot of them are garbage unless I get nice ones so I would rather get OEM ones and they FIT so no unneccessary cutting and mounting.
I did find a pretty fresh looking pair of headlights with ballasts and BULBS (02-03 TL) for $150 so imma just get that.

I need a ballast for a 2004 TSX . My low beam went pink and shit the bed within two days. I swapped the bulbs to make sure that wasn't the issue. High beam is fine. Do you have any suggestions.?the ballast i found on line was pricy. I had the entire passengers side light completely replaced after a small "fender bender" just about a year ago, maybe. whats up with these kits? can i get a conversion kit instead (but will i still need ballast as well?) Thanks for your time and any help you can throw my way. I am looking for the most affforable option. I do realize these light s aren't cheap.

If your ballast is fine you probably don't need new ballast as those are expensive. Try getting new HID bulbs first and see if that helps. Unless your lights are flickering, then its your ballast. There are a few vendors on here that are good such as HIDEXTRA. I got mines from them and they work pretty good.
And my ballast broke not because of a little condensation. That shit had a crack that was 4 inches long on the top of the headlight. It was a big crack too. So when it rained, water got in and never came back out and fried my ballast. When I took my headlight out I tilted it and about a cup of water came pouring out.
