my back right brake is rubbin against my rotor. help?

Question my back right brake is rubbin against my rotor. help?

does anyone have any idea why my back right brake is rubbing against my rotor? i see metal chips like graphite around my caliper....any ideas why? please help

Sounds like you are missing one of the two bolts that anchors the caliper into position. Personally, I wouldn't drive a car in that condition, as you will cause more damage and possibly cause an accident. I would have the car towed for waranty repairs, or fix it myself. Have it looked at asap.

i've had it in the shop earlier and they changed my tranny...
i havent done anything to the brakes....
i aint sure why its doin that....
my rotor is pretty scratched up.....

I'd bring it back to where the tranny was done...sounds like they might have messed something up.....I don't see why they would be touching the brakes, but you never know with these service people

Did you ever check if your pads are low? Replacing the tranny does not require even the removal of the rear wheels....unless they disconnected the front brake calipers and needed to bleed the brakes.

Anyway, are there a couple of gouges on the rotors? It may be caused by the rivets which are used to hold the pad material to the metal backing plate of the brake pads. You have a 99TL so it may require replacement.
