Angry My baby was victim of Hit & Run!

Came out of the apt. Sunday morning to go to the store, went to grab a CD out of the trunk, and what do I see? A nice dent, someone else's paint, and pieces of my paint missing on the rear bumper!

Some Ahole I guess in the wee hours tagged my car and left the scene. My car is only 3 months old, now I have to go and get it fixed. Since my deductible is $500, this will most likely be all out of pocket.

I probably went around the apartment complex 5 times yesterday looking at each car for signs of damage. I haven't found anything yet, but I'll keep looking until I find this mf'er and give them the beatdown of his/her life.

My neighbors heard tires screeching at about 3am and when they looked outside, they saw an aqua color Ford truck with tan trim wheeling away. Now on my bumper, there is alot of tan colored residue, almost powdery in substance, which makes me think that it just might have been that truck since it has that tan trim that Ford puts around its trucks/SUV's. But, there was no aqua color, only white. So who knows???

Oh well, have to call an make an appointment to get my baby fixed! Just needed to vent!!!

My rear bumper got damaged too. Its not a big dent, but just a bunch of scratches like someone took a rake to it.

What should I do first? Should I show the dealer? Should I just drive to a collision shop? I'm so pissed!

It sucks to be a victim of a hit and run; all I can say is that, what goes around comes around--unless you drive a POS car and don't care if someone dents your vehicle or vice versa...

I feel for ya though...

sorry to hear that
you should report it to the insurance company first

then go straight to a body shop, going to the dealer doesn't help

$500 should be able to take care of the dent, if it's not that messed up

good luck

My rear bumper (driver side) got shreaded even more than it was already, last week. The paint is so thin it just peels off. My old car had body color bumpers and they never got so much damage! I see 10 year old cars with simmilar bumpers and they're OK, but not Honda products! I've started to take note how many H/A cars I see with scratched up bumpers! There are a lot! I feel for you man, at least I don't have a dent.

Now I don't feel so bad...same EXACT thing happened to me last Friday. I have an appointment this Saturday w/ my insurance company to get it inspected. Has anybody gotten their rear bumper replaced?...if so, what was your estimate?

Mine was $700.00 to get it re-painted only. Bumper was only scratched... not dented, though.

That is awesome...it's good to know there are a few good people still out there.

That's rape! I hate to even think how much this is going to cost me.
