My 99TL vs. MB E55 AMG
Are you asking yourself what a joke, yet?
We didn't race cuz you know how that would have turned out.
It was my friend's car and he let me rip it up to 100. So i guess this is a TL/ E55 comparison.
The E55 is 71k plus mark up while u all know about my old a$$ 99TL.
It was like a big, strong, powerful, box boat. The room inside was large, but the size outside was large. It's a auto. The gas was not sensitive, but was powerful near the floor. the tranny responded quickly and it was awesome for an auto. There is soo much accelleration that it is almost uncontrollable. i spun the wheels with the tracton off. the suspension was stiff and handled as well as one could hope for. the fat tires never gave out.
so, in the end, after i got back to my car, i felt like the interior was cheaper, there wasn't so much insulation, the ride was bumpier and the accelleration was no slouch, but not nearly as fast(not really needed imo). but i took the same twisties and it stuck well. it never slipped but the springs compressed more than the e55's. for the money, my car was surprisingly close in many main categories to the amg and that made me proud.
the conclusion is that when you spend money, you will most likely be doing it for the name becuz you can find something truly almost as good for much less. but if you got too much money, then BOOM BABY...
