MVI joy
Just finished having my MVI done, and was very pleased to leave the shop with no repairs needed to pass the vehicle.
Here in Nova Scotia, that gives you two years until the next inspection is due.
I think it's pretty good to have that result on a 12 year old car with 260,000 kms on it.
I don't take special pains to maintain it, but do all the fluids and basic stuff as needed.
Testament to why we have used Acura or Honda vehicles for a long time in my family. Well built cars that generally treat us well.
I wish you all the same experience with your cars.
Having said all that, my Tranny will probably croak tomorrow, LOL
cheers....

Yeah guys, Honda builds a high quality automobile.....besides some quirks such as the TL's tranny issues, they are very tight and long lasting. All they need is the general recommended maintenance and they will serve ya well.
So Wrayman, did ya buy the car new and are ya on the original tranny ?????
If not, give us the lowdown ! Cheers...... and may the TL live a long life.

its bad ~carma~ to talk about how well your trans is doing!
known as the azine curse
our megamod fsttyms1 (fast times Won) has 500,000++ USA MILES on his 00
which now sports a CLs engine and 6 speed manual trans
engine looked new inside when taken apart at 200kmiles
he drives it many miles/hours every day, and weekends it sees some full throttle, top speed fun on the local road-race track

3.2TLc,
I've had the car for 5 years. It was @ 114,000kms then. The transmission had been done @ 83,000 , at an Acura Dealer.
Most of my driving is highway, whether or not that helps keep the trans working longer, I can't say. Certainly easier on brake life !
01tl4tl,
I hear ya, I'm knocking on wood as I type this....no need to invite disaster !
my240sx4u,
230K miles is awesome, great to hear. Might be a keeper.
