Angry Mud Flaps!

After reading here about other people's problems with the mud flaps, checked mine out yesterday. With only 2,500 miles on the car, I had a wear marke on the front left which went doen to the primer, some discoloration of the paint on the left front and a nick in the left rear. Of course, I took them off right then and there. I will be calling the dealer on Monday to demand a refund (about $150) and have them touch up the paint. However, I now have 2 holes in my rear wheel well/bumber from the attachment screws. Were those holes already there b/4 the flaps or where they drilled to put the flaps on? How have other dealers responded to this problem?

The holes were pre drilled. I'm going to have to check on mine also. Damn it.

Took my flaps off when I got home from the dealer and applied X-pel paint protection film so as to protrude 1/16" beyond the flaps. Seems to be working OK. BTW the film was 8 mil thick.
