our car uses separate coil for each spark plug... i dont think there is anything you can do to make them better. I dont know about the ignition system, though.

MSD makes an application for distributorless ignition systems.

you are wasting your time if you add this, it won't do a damn thing to your car except set you up for a future blower/nos/turbo upgrade, its just gonna give you a hotter/stronger spark. waste of time for what your trying to do, try changing the mufflers or taking out that pre-muffler thing.

This will not change the sound of your mufflers.

Also is very hard to get the MSD 6A to work on the TL. All 1999 and up TL use a distributorless ignition systems.
All MSD 6 series ignition only work with cars with distributor, points or cars with an electronic ignition amplifier. (not for cars with individual coil per plug)

You will have to redesign the entire ignition systems of the TL to get this to work. I think going to run you around $1,000 just for parts.

you can do it with this ignition, the 99+ V8 mustangs uses a coil on ignition also, but, your not going to gain much if anything, and it wont change your exhaust note.
