How do I make this grill?

SO how do u get rid of the 'A' and the line i part in the middle...

I want to do EXACTLY this....damn thats fly

yea...thats mesh...that looks very easy...all it is is the chrome piece...then he painted the plastic piece ssm...then just meshed it...

he did. you can tell that the mesh is recessed, and the plastic was painted to match the body. doesnt look very hard to do. thx for bringing this up yungin, I may try it.

I asked someone who made it once (maybe he'll chime in). I think he used a soldering iron or something that got really hot but forms a tip. Using the hot tip, he made/melted a small hole in the back of the emblem and then used wire to attach it to the grill.

im gettin my grill back in a few days so ill see how it turns out...i think the hardest part about that is gettin rid of the "A" and then the middle line that connects to the rest of the grill....u gotta get that cut and molded...

If you use a mesh fine enough (like gutter guard), you can just use the outdoor undustrial double sided tape from home depot. I used it on mine over 6 months ago and still no problems. Just take your time and cut a bunch of thin pieces to go behind each letter.

Here's a pic of mine. I chrome painted mine and took the wing out. (this was my car back in May 2005)



Here's a more recent pic when i redid my grill, but i painted it black to match my headlamps.. which i also blacked out
