MPG - There's hope!
For the first 2500 miles, I was getting 20-21 miles in city driving and on one road trip got 25 (only with occasional A/C use). I went on a 1200+ mile trip for Thanksgiving, but got my first oil change before leaving. I also checked the tire pressure and adjusted it from 30 to 32 psi.
On the trip, I filled up 3 times and got 31.6, 30.9, and 31.8 MPG -- yeah doggie! Before going, I was filling up before the odometer showed 300 miles. On the trip, the miles/tank kept on going - 300, 350, 400, even 450! I was delightfully surprised. (Note: The gas light comes on when there's still 3 gal in the tank.)
So, if your MPG is lousy, be patient until after you get an oil change. Also, check your tire pressure and make sure it's still correct now that the colder weather is here.

Interesting. Before my first oil change, I did a 660 mile round trip (one day) and averaged 31.7mpg. Speed ranged from 70-85 mostly.
Just did 430 mile round trip on Thanksgiving (after first oil change) and got 27.7mpg, with cruise control at 85 going and at 80 returning.

My first road trip was during the break-in period and I varied the RPM by shifting gears with no hard acceleration. On both road trips, I tried to go 5-10 MPH over the limit and not worry about cops. On the second trip, there was more traffic resulting in speeds from -5 to +10 MPH relative to the limits with lots more use of the brakes (with one emergency panic stop just in time). The second trip also had several quick passes (when the car in front of me finally moved over) up to 100+. Boy, that zzzz sound is sure sweet!
