Moved my sub enclosure and now the amp isn't working?

Well it looks like the audio/video forum is gone for 2G, I'm hoping it's ok to post this in the main forum...

Anyway, my sub enclosure was bolted to the trunk but it came loose, and the box moves around the trunk (2 12"s with the amp mounted on the box). I noticed it had come close to the edge of the trunk so I pushed it more towards the back seat, but next time I drove my car I noticed the subs weren't working anymore. It looks like the amp isn't turning on, but from what I can tell all the wires are still plugged in.

Is there a good way to go about troubleshooting this? It's hard to look at the wiring as it's on the back of the box, unless I take the seat out my only option is the ski pass through in the rear seat. Any procedures I should follow before messing around with all the wiring back there? unplug the car battery or something?

your fuse must be blown check under your hood

btw.. to stop the box from moving around get some velcrow(sp?) and put it on the bottom of the box.. works wonders

check your amps fuse and make sure the remote turn on wire is still in. It is very easy to take off the back seats - just 4 10 mm bolts. Its good because you can see everything alot more if you need to mess with anything.

OK, checked the fuses in the hood, driver's side, and passenger's side - they were all fine. It looks like I need a certain sized hex wrench/driver?? to unscrew the plastic covering on the amp. Would the amp's fuse be hidden beneath the plastic, or placed somewhere else in the car? I didn't see one back there while I was looking around...

the amp fuses are on the side of the amp or if you dont see any then they are under the cover. also if you moved your ground i'd check that too.

Audio & Video forum is still alive and well. You can find it here and copy/paste your question into a new thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-video-electronics-navigation-22/

It's now located in one of the "Off Topic" sub-cats. I'm sure they'll be able to provide you with some answers.
