Morining Rattle

I have my frist rattle complaint, but its kind of strange. When i get in the car in the early morning (pretty cold now here in New England) and i start driving i get a rattle from the moonroof with the cover closed and open. But in the afternoon when the sun warms the car up a little bit it goes away the the car is perfect again. is this the begining of the rattling i've been hearing all you guys taliking about? Has anyone esle had this secenario happen to them? I have about 2500 miles on the car and i plan on bringing it in around 4K for an oil change and tellign them about the rattle. Is there anything else i should be looking for before i bring in the car at 4K?

Thanks Guys
Joe

Glad I am not the only one to have this problem. I also have it in the morning when it is colder say 30 to 40 degrees. In the afternoon it "disappears". I have already had the sunroof tape put on mine to stop the sunroof rattle but mine seems to be coming more from the front windshield. I had to have my windshield resealed due to a water leak so I am wondering if they sealed it properly. Hopefully yours can be resolved!!

No rattle from the moonroof (had the squeak but the tape took care of it--what a difference!!) but I do get a "cold squeak" from my directional stalk. When the temp drops below 35F, before the interior warms up, if I use the directional stalk I get a quick squeak from it. Once it is wam(er) inside the cockpit, all is well. That's the problem with close tolerances and different rates of expansion/contraction for different types of plastic. Not a major problem though.

same with me. my car rattle in the morning from the cockpit but not at noon time. there is one spot always rattle that coming from the back seat or back window. I should talk to the dealer when I take in for first oil change 3800 miles but other than that pure joy!

A 'rattle' of a different kind...

Anyone have their rearview mirror rattle a little as well? I was driving the other night and heard this rattle. Thought it was junk in my glove....but held onto the rearview to check. Lo and behold...noise stopped, then freaking resumed when i let go.

Shoot...and at only 5000 miles. I think i'm the first with this rattle. =T

My rearview mirror also rattles (car under 3000 miles). The problem is intermittent. I took it in to the dealer but they couldn't reproduce the problem. So I still get the occasional rattles. I'll have them take a look at it again the next time I get an oil change.
