more problems with cleared headlights
well I finally got the ballz today to clear my headlights and they didn't quite turn out the way I wanted. First off I put my first headlight in the oven on broil for 2min 30sec and it melted a portion of the HID section. (not the cap but the section where the cap screws into) I suppose because that was the closest point to the burner. BTW I did have to housing on the lowest rack. Anyways, the HID cap didn't fit correctly and was not sealing. I corrected this with about 1/2 a tube of silicone.
My second headlight was flawless.
And finally, When I was remounting the headlights back on my car, the driver's side light was not fitting properly onto the brackets. So now there is about a 1/8in gap between my fender and the light. It’s not super noticeable but I still think it looks like crap. The other aspect that sucks about this gap is that it makes the housing more vulnerable to the elements of rain and such. (which = leakage) Any Suggestions?????
I almost wish I didn’t get my self into this mess. Oh BTW new housing cost $210 a piece.
