More Paint Problems
Since trading my NHB 2001 TL on a 2002 NHB/Black TLS it has never been out of my garage unless I'm driving it. I even put a cover on the car when it's in the garage. Last week I was having some remodeling done and the car was outside for three nights. It rained one or two nights while the car was outside. I don't know how much because I was out of town. I don't even drive this car to work. I washed the car yesterday and discovered spots all over the hood and trunk. I tried to polish them out with Griot's Machine Polish using an Orbital Buffer and then wax and they still look like etched pits all over my trunk and hood. There are almost none anywhere else on the car, including the spoiler???? Is there any way to remove these or should I have the trunk and hood repainted. I have had 3 black cars all Acura's and never had this problem. Are the trunk and hood painted seperately from the rest of the car. If not why do I only have these spots only on the hood etc. Would Acura replace the hood and trunk with a factory painted part. What's up with this crummy paint?
