Post More Bad Luck....

Was on the way to the airport the other day and I heard a "WACK" on the windshield. Now my windshield is cracked and my question is do I have Acura replace it or go to one of these dime a dozen windshield replacement centers??????????????

I'm not sure if Acura will cover this, but your insurance company should.

Geez, dog.com, you really are snake-bit.

It's a helpless feeling when the rock hits the windshield, that's for sure.

I would try and get the real thing. You have a new car, and the "dime-a-dozen" brand windshields tend to have a distortion line or two in them.

Stick with the genuine artical if your ins company lets you.

Yeah, you should get the origianl Honda windshield. I think we have a very slight tint on our factory glass which off-brands may not have.

Get either a Honda replacement or the PPG Prostars OEM windshields...

Had the same thing happen to me. I had the car for 1 week and a rock hit the windshield. Go with Acura! Remember that the antena is part of the windshield. Your ins company will pay for it. You'll have to pay the deductable. Don't let the ins company dictate where you are to go. It's your option. Call Acrua, set up the appt and then call your ins co. They will make you pay the full amt first, then re-imburse you less the deductable.

Ah, Kik-ass, are driving the car backward?

Isn't the antenna in the rear glass?

Check it out with the dealer. It has both a front and back antena. Its the shaded area above the rear view.

It happened to me too about few months back. I had it replace with a genuine Honda windshield. It costed me $375 for the glass and $95 for the labor. I definitely suggest your to replace it with a Honda windshield instead of those OEM ones.
