My car is two weeks old, and I just noticed that the moonroof rattles when I go over deep-ridged bumps (it has to be the big ones).

At first, I did mainly highway driving, so I didn't notice. But the other night, I came back home the long way, through the middle of San Francisco, where a lot of the streets are cracked and potholed. That's when I started to hear the rattling every block or so! I got very upset since my car is brand new, but it sounds like it's old already.

The rattling happens if the roof is open, closed, half open, etc. Closing the shade only muffles the rattle, so I'm convinced that it's the moonroof.

I'm taking it in to the dealer on Friday, I just hope that they can make the rattle go away. Sounds like it may take more than grease to do that.
