Exclamation molded body kits?

Has anyone seen or have a TL with a molded body kit? I think this would look pretty sweet. How much would a job like this cost? thanks

I think there is a pic floating around of a TL with a Black Widow body kit molded onto it. It was different but I wasn't to keen on it. It seemed a little to radical for the car in my opinion.

got_3.2? - Well...here's two things.

Molding on a lip kit...which means making it flush with the bumper....so it's not two pieces no more.

and the second one is putting on a kit that was never made for the car.

Molding a kit on involves repainting the bumpers. This will make the new bumper paint (especially the front) to chip more easily, because nothing sticks better than the factory multi-coat, multi-bake paint finish.

That's true!!!
On top of that, you should never dondo the urethane bumper!!!

You're thinking of the same car...the wing definitely puts it over the top but I'm not keen on the body kit on our cars either, it looks a little too drastic for the TL.

if you bondo or mold the kit onto the factory bumper and you get into a wreck, how hard is it to like.....umbodo the kit from the factory bumper??? or is it..forever on there??? so if i purchased a kit and molded it onto my car and i had to get a new factory bumper....the kit thats molded onto the old bumper can't be taken off and put on into the new bumper???

You can always sand out bondo and repaint it. No problem.

I can't remember the name of the guy, but there was a fellow with a TL sporting a moulded bodykit. He also had a 3rd brake light recessed into the top of the trunk. The car looked amazing, and was very tasteful. I think it was silver.
