Question MOD idea (for auto-dim w/Nav)

Is it possible to change how the NAV determines it is night time? I hate having to go into the setup and set it to day/night every time I drive.

I am old school and believe in day time running lights so I always drive with my lights on.

I enjoyed the wired fog mod so I don't have to have headlights on and can just drive with fogs on, but what I really would love is for the NAV not to auto-dim until I switch from parking light to head light mode.

Has anybody looked into this? Think it can be done?

Yeah, I want to do that mod also! But I would think it's very in depth.

that can be done you just have to open it up locate the illuminate wire and disconnect it....it basically sends a 12v signal to the navi saying lights are on so dim.....
