Can anyone tell me if there any performance chips for the tl

 

there is something like a chip for performance. its made by apexi and its a v-tec digital controller. cost 329 at
www.autocarparts.com which is the same company this website uses to sell items to tl owners. jet makes a chip however it seems to be for non vtec engines even though is shows compatible for our car on the nopionline.com website.

 

The chip used in that computer is made exclusively for Honda/Acura and they do not make it available to anyone by itself. And the chips themselves are not reprogrammable.

How much horsepower do you really get from one of those Apex-i thing? I've seen a Super AFC on a non vtec Integra before, but didn't notice any gain, the only thing that I notice was the exhaust was really loud.

 

i heard that automatic cars will not benefit a lot from the chip

 

is what samkws saying true??? please someone reply because i really wanted a chip too and im intrested in learning more about the controller

 

you can adjust what RPM VTEC kicks in with the V-AFC. also the air/fuel ratio... it's damn good but you gotta dyno tune it.
