oh please. the last thing you should be doing is listening to the cl crowd

mobil 1 has been using the tri synthetic system for a pretty long time now. supposedly it was the early/mid 90's when mobil 1 made the 'better' stuff

amsoil has always been better than mobil 1. go find out how much it costs then report back

 

Yes amsoil is expensive! But it also seems to note, that Penzoil, Valvoline Syntetic are pure synthetics..

Question is are those cheaper pure synths, better than
Mobil 1?

Follow the links and see what they say. I might be switching back to Valvoline Synthetic now..never used it, but it looks like a winner.

Actually you are wrong. That is such a smart answer, don't listen to the CL crowd? lol.

Anyways, BlackStone labs does tests on all oils. And they noticed the degrad in Mobil 1 when it went to Tri-Syn about 2 years ago. It is defintely not as good, but still works well. I trust their opinion over anyone on these forums. I will be switching anyways.
