Mission Viejo 30K service

Hey all,

I've decided to give Mission Viejo a shot at servicing my TLS. They quoted the 30K service at $240, which I think is about right, but I'm gonna check w/ South Coast just to be sure.

Now, I've seen some mixed reviews with Mission Viejo, but the main downside appears to be lack of on-site loaner cars. Frankly, that's not as big an issue as service quality. If anyone has been to MV Acura Service before, please post your experiences. Thanks!

Quick update, I just called up South Coast Acura and they quote the 30K at $419! I told them of the $240 quote from MV, and the guy claims that they're not including all the replacement parts. I asked what parts would be replaced, and he stated that the AC filter, brake fluid, etc would all need replacement, and MV isn't including any of that.

Now, I'm not too keen on service protocol, but is it really necessary to replace an AC filter at 30K? I was always under the impression that the only real thing you need to replace is the oil. However, I do want them to look at the brakes, tranny, replace the tranny fluid, etc, but AC filter??

I've never been to MVA but SCA has done most of my installs(headers, brakes, s/c). I've always had a very good experience there. I'd call MVA and see if what SCA is saying is true. Ask for Sean Cooperrider at SCA.

as for the cabin air filter YES! change it you'll see why when you do(or maybe the dealer will show you your old ones) I'm not saying the A/C will shut down if you dont change them but your really defeating the purpose of a good filtration system if you dont change the dirty moldy pollen covered filters.
BTW I replaced mine at just under 30k and this is what I saw ^

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm having both dealers fax me their quote list, so I'm gonna compare the two. I've been to SCA before, about 3/4 times, and they've been great to deal with. However, since moving further south, MVA is much closer.
