minor dent

I drive an 2001 Acura 3.2 TL and I dented my car by entering a small one car garage. It's a minor dent on the car door. How can I fix it? Here's a picture, the dent is in the middle:

i'm having a hard time seeing the dent in the photo. would it be possible to push it out from the inside? remove the inside panel and push it with your hands?

from what it looks like to me, its no minor. You can push it out, but you will still be able to see it where the line/indentation (or however the hell its call). If thats a minor, my car would be in prestine condition.

That is a hard to fix dent as it dented on the grove line. That grove line in the middle of the door is there for strengthen the metal sheet, once dented, i don't think it can be removed with 'painless dent removal technique'. I guess the best way to remove the dent is push it out from inside.

Yea, I believe there would for sure be a crease after popping that dent. Not really sure how you can fix this without bondo/repaint or find a scrapped door at a yard.

not 100% removal but the cheap method would be to use a compressed air can and a blow dryer

I have one in the back corner of my car and pretty much your exact same height and its reduced to almost nothing. I can see it cuz I know it is there but no one else notices it

yeah...use the blow dryer, heat up the area around the dent and the center. once it is hot hot to the touch, spray compressed air UPSIDE DOWN (you want the liquid nitrogen) all over the infected area. So long as you don't have grime all over the area and circular dent should pop out in seconds

this works because the metal was pressed into a certain shape, when it is supercooled (nitrogen) it will rearrange it's molecules back to its original shape and hence the "pop"

this is the same reason why baloons and stuff will shatter when put in liquid nitrogen and while spilled nitrogen will remove any trace of dust.

would this method work for a good sized door ding(basically a dent) that some dipshit did to my car a few years ago?

last question: how much of the 'frozen' compressed air do you put on the dent? a good amount or just a light amount?

i tried this the other day, and i didn't have any success with my huge door ding dent. i was a little skeptical at first about using the air can upside down on my paint, but it seemed to be ok.

as long as you don't run the hair dryer TOO long on your paint, it should be fine.
