Question Mink oil on leather seats?

I just mink oiled the crap out of my Avirex leather jacket and it is super soft now. I was thinking maybe using mink oil on our seats would do a great job at keeping them supple and crack free?

Different sealing and staining materials are used for leather car seats than for your jacket. The seats are designed to withstand extreme heat (car doors closed on a hot summer day). The oil might damage the seats more than they would help them. I'm not sure exactly, but it might be worth checking out...
