Will a misfire cause a glitch in the traction control system

Technically no, the two components have no direct linkage. However a misfire will often light up the instrument panel like a christmas tree. VSA/Brake/Battery lights are common with misfire. The car might go into limp mode.

As far as I've been able to gather any sort of problem that affects engine output will also disable VSA.
